Years ago, our founder, Brandi Coleman, wrote her undergraduate thesis on menstrual health education. That research didn't just sit on a shelf - it became the foundation for real community impact.

At this free event, girls ages 12-18 from across San Antonio spent the afternoon learning about their bodies through hands-on activities, assembling period kits for those facing period poverty, and hearing from guest speakers at Betty's Co. who talked openly about body changes and building confidence during adolescence.

The atmosphere was exactly what it should be: informative without being clinical, empowering without being preachy. Girls left with volunteer hours, practical knowledge, and the understanding that their bodies aren't something to be embarrassed about.

Events like these matter because they create space for honest conversations that too many young women never get to have. When we normalize menstrual health education, we're not just handing out information. We're building a generation that understands their bodies and advocates for themselves.
