It all began in 2017 with one incredible mentor, Ms. Brandi, and five extraordinary sixth-grade ladies from Davis Middle School. Her mission? To mentor and show the girls a whole world outside the classroom.
Now, with over 100 girls from 35 campuses in San Antonio, we're shaping futures and making an impact. Join us as we empower girls, create lasting community projects, and celebrate the magic of growth and sisterhood. Together, we'll sip the sweet lemonade of opportunity and make a difference!

We've welcomed a group of phenomenal women who lead our Empowerment Circles, each a powerhouse in their own right. Together, we're expanding our impact within the community, empowering our girls to take charge of their leadership journey, and creating community impact projects. We connect them with incredible women of color in the community, creating a network of inspiration and support. They learn the skills they need to be fierce advocates for change on their campuses and in their communities.
From Learners to Leaders
At The Lemonade Circle, we're all about leadership and civic engagement. We connect our members with incredible women of color in the community, creating a network of mentors. Our members learn the skills they need to be fierce advocates for change on their campuses and in their communities. They become youth representatives on local, state, and national committees, as well as within nonprofit organizations fighting for equality and justice. We believe in breaking down barriers and making sure everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion, or political beliefs, gets a taste of equity and equality.
Our Mission
The Lemonade Circle is dedicated to EMPOWERING young women of color, with an emphasis on Black females, in 5th grade and beyond to #makeLEMONADE by providing them with opportunities to EXPLORE and ENGAGE with the community through civic engagements, leadership development, and community outreach. We fulfill our mission through our five dynamic empowerment circles:

By nurturing a diverse range of talents through our empowerment circles, we strive to create a world where every girl feels valued and equipped to make meaningful change. We envision a future where our members become trailblazers in their chosen fields, turning life's lemons into sweet lemonade, breaking barriers, and leaving a legacy of empowerment for generations to come.
