The Lemonade Circle's GENES-SIS STEM Summit was created with one goal in mind: to help girls see that there is a place for them in STEM.
Designed for girls in grades 5 through 11, the two-day summit introduced participants to the many opportunities available in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through hands-on l
earning, collaboration, and interactive activities, students were encouraged to explore new interests, build confidence, and think about the future in new ways.
STEM careers continue to grow, but girls, especially girls of color, are still underrepresented in many of these fields. Experiences like the GENES-SIS STEM Summit help change that by creating spaces where young women can learn, ask questions, and discover what is possible.
At The Lemonade Circle, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to dream big and pursue her interests without limits. Whether a participant left wanting to become an engineer, a doctor, a scientist, or simply feeling more confident in her abilities, the summit was about planting seeds that can grow for years to come.
We are thankful to South Texas Blood & Tissue for helping make this event possible and for supporting programs that invest in the next generation of leaders.
When girls are given the tools, encouragement, and opportunity to succeed, there is no limit to what they can accomplish. We are proud to be part of that journey.
