Leading Change Starts With Opening Doors: Brandi Coleman at the International School of the Americas

On March 19th, The Lemonade Circle's Founder and Executive Director, Brandi Coleman, had the opportunity to speak with students at the International School of the Americas here in San Antonio, and the message she brought into that room is one we think about every single day.

What does it actually mean to lead change?
Not just to be successful, not just to rise, but to lead in a way that is sustainable and that lifts others along the way.
Brandi spoke with students about the kind of leadership that endures. The kind that does not start from scratch or treat progress as a solo effort, but instead builds intentionally on the knowledge, experiences, and lessons of those who came before.
Every great leader has been shaped by someone. Every open door was held open by somebody. Real leadership honors that.

She also spoke about responsibility. Today's leaders do not just have an opportunity to create pathways for the next generation. They have an obligation to. Share what you know. Make room. Prepare the people coming up behind you to go further than you did. That is how real, lasting change actually happens.
To the students at ISA who sat in that room and received that message, we hope it stays with you. The world needs the kind of leaders you are becoming.
Thank you to the International School of the Americas for the invitation and for continuing to invest in young people who will shape what is next.

Leading Change. Empowering Voices. Transforming Lives. This is how we #makeLEMONADE. 🍋💜
