The Lemonade Circle hosted a phenomenal STEM-tastic adventure that took us on an journey into the world of STEM through literature. If you missed it, don't worry; we've got the highlights right here.

The Carver Branch Library recently played host to this event that had our member's minds buzzing with excitement. The first installment of our "Black in STEM Book Bonanza Series" was an absolute hit! Organized by the genius behind our STEM Circle, Ellen Cook, this event marked the beginning of an literary journey for our members. There are two more events yet to come in Spring 2023 and Summer 2024, so stay tuned!

Our guide for this journey was Bennett Hendrix III. With his book, "Saleen, the Cyber Teen," Bennett delved into the captivating realm of cybersecurity. He shared Saleen's adventures, igniting our curiosity about digital security and making us realize why it's crucial to safeguard our online spaces. Bennett's engaging discussions went beyond the pages of his book, inspiring us to dream big in the world of STEM.

He shattered preconceived notions about STEM jobs and discovered the boundless possibilities that await us in this exciting realm. Through group discussions and fun activities, we connected with like-minded peers who share our passion for STEM. Together, we're breaking barriers and reaching for the stars.

This is just the beginning of our "Black in STEM Book Bonanza Series." With two more events to go, we can't wait to continue this journey. Stay with us as we explore STEM, make friends, and dream big.

A heartfelt thank you to the Carver Branch Library for hosting us and to Ellen Cook, our STEM Circle Director, for leading the way into the world of STEM through literature. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and we're ready for the next adventure! 🚀📚🔬
